Indiana Court of Appeals affirms dismissal of legal malpractice claim against New York attorneys represented by Eichhorn & Eichhorn, LLP
David Jensen and Carly Brandenburg represent two attorneys from New York in a legal malpractice action filed against them in Indiana. The plaintiffs claimed that the attorneys' work in helping them with their adoption was negligently performed. Motions to dismiss were filed on behalf of the attorneys, which the trial court granted. The Indiana Court of Appeals affirmed the trial court, holding that the trial court did not have personal jurisdiction over the attorneys. The plaintiffs' legal malpractice case was properly dismissed.
