Jury returns verdict in favor of Indianapolis physician represented by Eichhorn & Eichhorn, LLP

Michael Roth and Brett Clayton successfully defended an Indianapolis physician in a medical malpractice trial in which the plaintiff alleged that the physician overlooked a surgical sponge that was retained after an emergency cesarean section. The plaintiff claimed $300,000 in damages. Michael and Brett contended that all of the medical treatment was appropriate, and that the physician was not responsible for the retained sponge. After four days of trial, the jury concluded that the physician did not commit medical malpractice, and returned a verdict in favor of the physician.
