Born and raised in Chicago, Caren graduated from Washington University in St. Louis and attended the University of North Carolina School of Law. She began her legal career as a Deputy Prosecutor for Marion County, where she prosecuted numerous serious felony cases.
Caren later transitioned to private practice, focusing on the defense of public entities in civil rights, catastrophic injury, and employment matters. In 2009, she founded Pollack Law Firm, a certified women’s business enterprise, which she owned and managed for seventeen years.
Throughout her career, Caren has presented instructional seminars for police departments, insurance companies, and attorneys on topics including municipal liability and trial strategy. She has defended several precedent-setting cases and has represented the State of Indiana, the City of Indianapolis, Indianapolis Public Schools, and their employees in matters that garnered national media attention.
Caren has frequently argued before the United States Court of Appeals for the Seventh Circuit, as well as the Indiana Supreme Court and Indiana Court of Appeals. She is also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court. She joined Eichhorn & Eichhorn, LLP, in July 2026.
