An ill patient underwent biopsy of lung tissue, and the reviewing pathologist diagnosed the patient with lung cancer. Subsequently the patient seemed to be recovering, and his physicians reassess him and determined that he did not have cancer. The patient claimed he sold his business and took other steps to wind up his affairs that cost him significant economic losses, and he also claimed to suffer emotionally. The case was tried before a Lake County jury in Hammond, IN. The jury returned a verdict for the defense.
