Horn v. Defendant Interventional Cardiologist

Claim:

Whether the physician breached the standard of care when performing an angiogram, which allegedly caused the patient injuries.

Outcome:

Jury trial resulting in defense verdict.

A patient suffering from chest pain and other symptoms presented to the hospital and underwent angiography.  During the procedure, the complication of bleeding arose.  The bleeding was immediately addressed through vascular surgery, but the patient claimed persisting pain and problems associated with the complication and surgical repair. She brought her law suit against her interventional cardiologist who had performed the angiogram.  The trial proceeded in Porter County before a jury, and the jury returned a verdict for the defendant.
